but in the larger scheme of the * broadly waves at everything * it makes sense, most of the (western) world has capitalist brainrot from decades of propaganda making it seem as if only Apple or Facebook can be a solution to our digital problems
there are solutions, made my volunteers in #OpenSource, but the difference is that corpo owns the propaganda machine, and that OSS should Really focus on #UX 😅
@bram +💯 I've heard over and over that people can't get started on these open solutions, they are just too hard for everyday folk. Getting #OpenSource products to focus more on #UX issues like #OnBoarding is critical to its success

Most recently, automated collection of support addresses 💬 has been launched. For retrieving the support addresses of a provider, "XEP-0157: Contact Addresses for XMPP Services" is used. Support addresses will be available in version 2 (v2) of the API. The FAQ section explains how these properties can be provided by server admins.
Many providers started adding support addresses so they can be retrieved automatically 💡
During the past year, we worked on automating the process of gathering data about XMPP providers. A suite of tools has been developed since, providing the ability to query properties via XMPP and through the web. 🚀

Étapes 3 : Un mail de confirmation est alors envoyé avec un lien de confirmation.
Étape 4 : Si le serveur exige une approbation manuelle de la part d'un modo ou d'un admin, la dernière étape étant l'avis du staff du serveur. Si accepté,votre compte est alors créé et vous pouvez commencer à publier … ou pouetter / tooter.

Ich habe gerade gelesen, dass #YouTube seine Bemühungen im Bereich #Podcasts verstärken will. Ich finde es irgendwie traurig, dass so ein freies Medium immer mehr vereinnahmt wird. #Spotify ist da für mich das schlimmste Beispiel, die bieten nicht mal einen #RSS-Feed an. Neben YouTube soll in Zukunft auch YouTube #Music Podcasts unterstützen. Vielleicht sind #Podcatcher irgendwann mal vergessen und alles spielt sich auf den Plattformen ab, die noch mehr Daten erhalten und zusammenführen. Und Podcast-Produzenten müssen da dann stattfinden, um überhaupt noch gehört zu werden.
Aber hey, das #Onboarding ist dann viel besser. Das kennen wir ja schon aus der Medienberichterstattung im Vergleich sozialer #Netzwerke. Allein wenn ich den Begriff höre, möchte ich schon ins Essen brechen.
