This kit stupidly does not include decals for the docking ports, so I created them. I used the decals from the 1/350 refit kit, shrunk them down, changed the name & registry then printed them.

While I wait for the decals to set on the Delta Flyer, back to the G I go. Masked off the dark grey areas on the nacelles and impulse engines so I can paint a lighter grey.

Turned out okay, not great but not bad either. Maybe Revell could consider make this a clear part, it would solve the problem. Anyway, next up is a gloss coat to prepare for decals.

I’ve painted the inside of each part black followed by silver to help light bounce around and marked out the areas where I will be putting LEDs. I will begin wiring up the saucer section first.

Had to modify the saucer edge and the aft end of each nacelle to allow fibre optic cable to go in the correct place and drilled all the holes for the nav’s and strobes.

Couple of new arrivals today that I’m excited about. The Light kit and photoetch for the 1/350 Kronos One model (which is still to arrive) and the Neo Constitution class USS Enterprise NCC-1701-G. Once I’m over Covid, I’ll be able to get started.
