Nacelles and impulse engines painted a lighter grey and masks removed. Will leave for another few days before I mask off those areas.

While I wait for the decals to set on the Delta Flyer, back to the G I go. Masked off the dark grey areas on the nacelles and impulse engines so I can paint a lighter grey.

First light blocking coat of black has been applied. Before I do more, I’ll need to go over some more areas with to get the bits I missed (I really need to start wearing my glasses).

I’ve painted the inside of each part black followed by silver to help light bounce around and marked out the areas where I will be putting LEDs. I will begin wiring up the saucer section first.

Going to mod my Enterprise-D subscription build’s phaser arrays to try and match the filming model (pics 2 & 3). I’ll be using Vallejo 71.045 Cement Grey (the same colour I used on Horizon and Arcadia).

Star Trek: The Next Generation started 36 years ago today with Encounter at Farpoint🖖

It's crazy to think that we've been following the adventures of Picard and his crew for 36 years, through shows and movies.

What's your favourite TNG episode?
