Oops another lawsuit in the making. Having worked in copyright law, and with the amount of blocked content pending review known about on many platforms for "possible copyright violations" . Copyright laws are enforced to protect brands and lawyers have probably already been assigned. It was not uncommon to have 30-50 staff lawyers starting the processes as soon as something this egregious and blatant to a brand is done.

Are game preservationists thinking about AI's increasing prowess at reverse-engineering games based on walkthrough videos - i.e., "decompiling."

Most of the preservation discussions I've read focus on preserving object code (or source code if available).

If our primary concern is ensuring these games are playable after copyright expires, maybe the safest bet is actually good old fashioned video?
