Today has been my hardest day ever. We had to say goodbye to our lovely dog, Whoopie.
Over the weekend, we thought she might feel better, but then on Sunday evening, her health deteriorated so badly that we asked the vet to come to our home and relieve her. We are thankful that we could accompany her until the end.
I thank you for all the favorites and boosts that you gave to her photos.

Nun lag Hasi im Wohnzimmer, ich war im Flur und Emma kam grad aus dem Schlafzimmer. Ich sagte zu ihr: "Wo ist Hasi? Hol Hasi!"
Sie schaute mich kurz an, überlegte und taperte dann los ins Wohnzimmer und brachte Hasi.

This amazing #goldenRetriever adopted a litter of #tigerCubs after they lost their birth mother. Now that they're fully grown, she stays with them in their habitat and is still in charge! We really don't deserve #dogs. 🐕🦺

Pigglepants was home alone all day. We went for a walk when I got home and she did zoomies around me the whole way. When we returned she hopped in the pool for a few laps and now it's the other lap for a nap. #LapForANap#DogsOfMastodon#GoldenRetriever

For the concerned citizens. This is a regularly walked dog, despite rain. She has also had a swim. We also played 'Here Have My Toy, HaHa You Can't Have It' for quite some time. She usually falls asleep with her head on my pillow which is strictly forbidden. #GoldenRetriever#DogsOfMastodon
