@br00t4c TL;DR: It's because the COVID mask analysis in question excluded evidence not from Randomly Controlled Trials (RCTs). But RCTs are a bad way to get evidence about masks (among other things, like the efficacy of flossing or parachutes), and there are lots of good studies that aren't RCTs about masking and COVID.

It'd been around the block at a few journals - lots of really quite positive responses but not a fit anywhere. Maybe it'll find a peer-reviewed home, maybe in an updated form, but for now, it's out there at least.
Alright, there is much #buzz over #AI in #edtech. While I embrace what #LLMs offer, why are so many people going mad over the topic? I mean, I'm not a grandmaster in the #education field (I've been doing it for 15 yrs "only") & am pro #innovation, but what's wrong with using less tech?
Tech should be integrated to a degree & definitely taught about, but beyond that it will mostly get in the way. Effective #teaching has less to do with tech & all to do with #methodology.
