I'm working on a video to see what the Linux community (or at least people who follow me) actually use.
So, I created a little form, hosted on my Nextcloud (hopefully it's up to the task...)
It's only up for 2 days, so don't hesitate to share it around, it will help me "touch grass" and see if my preconceived notions are confirmed, or invalidated!
@thelinuxEXP I strongly second @ultramarine 's point.
Some of us run several desktop and laptop systems and platforms concurrently and limiting all options to one "main" system eliminates substantial diversity, such as snaps on Ubuntu vs. AUR on Arch vs. Flatpak.
Since you didn't ask,
• Ubuntu GNOME with forced Wayland and only Flatpak on AMD,
• NixOS GNOME Wayland nix Flatpak, dual booted with
• Fedora GNOME Wayland Flatpak AMD
• Manjaro GNOME Wayland AUR Flatpak on Intel
• FreeBSD blackbox
Time flies, doesn't it?
20 years ago today, a new cross-platform, open-source application called Thunderbird debuted from the foundations of Mozilla Mail.
Some of you have been with us this entire time, and we are so honored to have you on this journey with us.
@thunderbird Seems like only yesterday that I discovered a better choice than Netscape Communicator for reading email from deviants who sent <BLINK>HTML</BLINK> and images.
Tweaking my Flatpak installs of 115.0.1 and enjoying the continuing improvements and refinements while retaining the essential features such as the three pane layout which makes using five email accounts with tens of thousands of messages, and sending with multiple names and addresses.
The Tusky team is bigger than ever, but two more known faces are stepping back.
Hi everyone, maloki here. Conny announced his resignation to our matrix channel last night, and this has some people worried. We've been working on this hand over for months, as both him and I are stepping back.
We've now made an official update on our Open Collective , where you can also support the team going forward!
