Cat tip: If they refuse to use your cat beds, three things to try:

  1. Just move it, period. Sometimes that's all it takes.
  2. Move it to a place they're already sitting without a bed
  3. Leave dirty laundry that smells like you on it. The smell makes them feel safe

@SirTapTap Similarly, if they have a favourite toy, putting that in the bed may tempt and reassure them. Particularly for fabric-based toys (shout-out to Clasicats on Etsy, no affiliation), some cats can tend to cuddle them as a child cuddles a teddy bear.

Or you can just point at the bed & firmly tell the cat they are NOT allowed in it under any circumstances, as that's a sure fire reverse-psychology way to use their natural disobedience against them :)

@IzabelaKaramia She's just had her first first breakfast, so it'll soon be time for her second first breakfast and a snack. After a snooze she'll then be ready for her first second breakfast and more snacks, her second second breakfast and then maybe a little rest. That should see her through until it's time for her elevenses.

@anathema_device @dwasmkuk Watergate followed Nixon to his grave and it'll forever be linked to his name, erasing any good deeds he might have accomplished. Boris is no longer a loveable bumbling oaf, a harmless clown with comedy hair; he will be forever linked with irresponsible partying and lying as the people lay dying. Something that similarly stains JR-M and his legacy evermore would be more satisfying to me. The right words can be sharper than the finest steel and can cut deeper.
