I’d like to see more coverage of the bigger picture here. Nothing is unrelated.

I wish I could think about climate action instead of whether some MAGA politician who represents an incredibly small electorate is going to make all my decisions. Or if I’ll get shot at the grocery store. Or if my daughter will die needlessly due to a treatable condition during pregnancy.

At this point, I’m not surprised to find out the shooter in Allen, TX had white supremacy connections.

Whatever his motive, the reason people are dead, again, is because this guy had easy access. To guns. This search for a motive is somewhat of a distraction from the clear imperative.

Because the decent people all know what needs to be done—universal background checks, assault rifle bans, age limits, and so on—and the people standing in our way aren’t decent.

It doesn't matter what the murderer’s motives were or what the circumstances were anymore. It would if these murders had that in common.

What matters is that another angry, violent (male) with no coping skills was given unrestricted access to weapons of war.

Every country in the world has its fair share of unbalanced humans, but only the USA hands out guns and ammo like candy to the same individuals.

Gun violence is now the leading cause of death among children in the United States.

Every developed nation has people with mental illness, video games, disgruntled ex-employees, alienated people, homicidal and suicidal persons, etc. Why does the U.S. have the problem it does?

It’s the same things it always is- the number of firearms, access to them, fetishism surrounding the 2nd Amendment, and the immense political power of the firearms industry.

Not a Republican has the courage to step up.

If Obama had accepted a free sandwich from a donor without reporting it, the GOP would have set the city on fire to get to the bottom of it.

Complete disregard for conflicts of interest or judicial ethics. The damage to the Court’s credibility at this point is immeasurable.

If Republicans are not dividing us by proliferating the sale of all types of guns across America, then it's by race, religion, sexual identity, education, reproductive tights, voting rights, and much more.

Republicans always want to achieve “fiscal responsibility” on the backs of the country’s most vulnerable citizens, while leaving its most financially well off unscathed.

Tax cuts to the very wealthy is the most reckless spending there is while the GOP treats workers, even in red states, like parasites.

The debt ceiling should be separate, anyway. Biden is right not to negotiate on that.
