has no cure, as yet. So, driven by desperation, and an understandable desire to improve their quality of life, those highlighted in this paper have turned to research. More needs to be done, including managing the airborne risk of transmission.

Emerging theme from immunological studies of is of an excessive & uncontrolled inflammatory reaction, involving innate & adaptive immune cells - that fails to resolve.
Data appear to point to long-lived reservoir of the likely culprit.
