The #Lahaina / #Maui #wildfire is now the second deadliest wildfire in America. And only about three quarters of the burned area have been searched. The death toll is rising / will continue to rise and is believed to be in the Californian #ParadiseFire range.
Too many people are unaccounted for, still missing.
The Coast Guard reported about 100 people on the shore in the night of the fire. 17 were rescued, 18 found dead, 40 escorted to safe location. The whereabouts of ~25 people are unclear.
