I don't understand CWing political posts. And that doesn't mean you need to @ me explaining why. I know THEIR reasons, I just disagree with them and won't do it.

I respect CWs for other things, but not politics. Politics is news and people need to be aware of what's happening. It's not gory or violent, it's politics.

so. in January I was in a bad car accident. fractured spine, ruptured discs, cracked pelvis, broken arm. last 4 months have been v hard. tonight though I'm going back to my adult dance class for the first time. I wasn't sure I'd ever even walk properly again so this is a moment for me. a good one

Freeports seem to be going under the radar in the UK media...

Freeports are intended to be special unregulated investment zones where the normal rules do not apply. The zones cover some large areas.

The idea is based on the old concept of charter cities, another way for big business to profiteer & money launder, potentially forcing workers into indentured labour without rights or regulation. 1/4

I love scavenging the back alleys. I found this! Its a mini trash can, based on the sort of thing we actually put rubbish in when I was young. It had mould inside, so I'm assuming it may have been meant to be for kitchen scraps outside. One of the handles was broken so that was fixed. No idea what to use it for, but its cool.

I was talking to a neighbour. He said he can't vote Conservative, they have destroyed the country. But he also blamed the state of the country on 'leftist councils' and immigrants.
He thinks Brexit was a good idea, despite it having fucked us all over and thinks Reform are the only electoral alternative and that the 'Far-right' is an invention of the liberal media.
He thinks Trump did a good job as president and that anthropic climate change isn't real.
I prefer cats to people.

I was busy inspecting trees to see if the were budding yet and turned around to find this little girl watching me.
Lottie often comes to visit. She's very affectionate and will climb all over me.

My wine was too nice with chilled blueberry juice, I wish I had another bottle; I'm glad I don't. I'm sure some will call me a heathen, but I enjoy red wine left to breathe and then mixed with chilled juice to water it down.

I finished digging over, weeding and wood-chipping the bottom of the allotment under the hazel tree. I also made the three stage composter and an area to dump weeds, plus a place for various bins.
I've just got the area of weeds up the hill left to sort, and I may not do that until I can find plastic sheeting to cover the area.

I've been digging the allotment terrace. The whole area is on a slope and I want at least one flat bit half way down.
Unfortunately, I don't have the luxury of a machine so I'm digging and building the terrace by hand, making a basal trench to fill with rocks for drainage.
Then all the topsoil goes back on leaving a berm I'll have to consolidate.
I'm doing it the long way round.

The woodland bank looking particularly verdant. Its been there for over three years now, so is quite mature for a little patch of guerrilla gardening. Its very low maintenance, just remove the fallen oak leaves in spring, and weed out any aggressive plants (I'm looking at you wild strawberries) in summer.

Finally a warm and sunny day on the allotment. A bit of planting and Comfrey Corner is starting to flourish.
The pond just isn't clearing due to silting from all the rain. I need the vegetation to grow a bit around it to absorb some of the run-off.
I found a skip full of compost and old decking, exactly what I needed to finish the beds!
Also scored some railway sleepers I might use to make extra mini terraces down slope.

I suspect in this shot he was thinking "Come here so I can headbutt you."

Recently I've been taking him exploring in the back field. I think he enjoys it, but still won't go beyond a certain point where his territory ends.
