The myth the powerful perpetuate is that social status and financial stability is a finite resource. If someone on a lower level were to move to a middle class status then it will knock you or one of your own off of the path of safety.

This is a lie. Achievement is not a zero sum game. Life can be win-win no matter what the guy with a mega yacht says.

Polygamous relationships, for me that's scary. Who wants an opportunity to disastisfy more than one person at a time?

The idea itself makes me anxious and overly tired.

Going on a tangent, a relationship is much more than the sex. Polyamory to me would involve all aspects of dating. Otherwise why put up with it?

I know the pain of being emotionally divorced from your partner before having the nerve to leave. For polyamory to work your significant partner(s) need to be getting their emotional needs met as well as physical.

Being there for one person 100% is difficult enough. Personality I need down time to be there for my spouse when she needs it.

I know someone who secretly tried a swinging lifestyle to make her emotional desert of a marriage bearable because she thought she couldn't leave. She did it in secret and with couples only.

For her those couple of years only made her feel worse about herself.

She rebuilt herself while going through the divorce and is now happily remarried.

I believe honesty is key to polyamory.

Gomez is sitting in a new cat chair that let's him be at level with the back of the couch. He normally sits on the thin back rest of the couch and nearly falls off every twenty minutes. This new seat keeps him safe. It keeps him near us as we watch TV.
