I wish Mastodon let us choose a delayed time for our boosts. Most of what I'm seeing is being seen by people who follow many of the people that I do. If I boost something that was tooted one minute ago I'm likely boosting to people who've already seen it. But if I can boost an hour from now I might get it in front of new eyeballs.

The originator has a better chance to reach more people.

The finale of the series even put the gang into prison for failing to do anything and help someone in distress.

Read the book and did listen to some podcasts back when. Yes, there are no simple answers. Touting one success doesn't mean it will work in all situations like entertainment news wants you to believe.

My take away from it was don't assume anything. Study it. But then again, good science harps on that point too. Study your assumptions and then study them again.

A major rule in statistics is that behavioral data ALWAYS changes. Last yrs numbers don't mean anything today.

One of the downsides of showing up late to posts is when @RickiTarr asks a question but there are 734 replies already and adding a new answer would be like when the discussion is over at the party and people have their coats on and someone is like “hey guess what”

Both foster kittens are now gone. Madeline went to a family already. My wife is getting updated on how perfect the kitten is every other day by the mom. Roderick has gone to the cat Cafe where he's been 24hrs. Already there's a buzz about him. I suspect he'll be adopted in a matter of days. The adoption paperwork takes that long to vet adoptive families.

I'm spending time in a Barnes and Noble. Wish we had more Bookstore choices in this town.

It gladdens me to see people with shopping baskets heavy with books. Need to get those gift cards spent quickly. They are having a decent sale here.

I'd love it if there was a book out there that would make me passionate to read. This year I got too many that were written too simply and without poetry to the prose. I don't want to be burned again.
