Conservative Party leader Pierre #Poilievre made a surprise speech on a WestJet flight from Quebec City to #Calgary on Sunday.

A WestJet spokesperson said it was a public flight. The use of the PA in this circumstance was approved in advance by WestJet operational leadership, the pilots and inflight crew.

The fact that 'fifteen-minute cities' is now a dirty word really puts into perspective all the time people spent agonising over whether 'defund the police' and similar slogans were too radical.

@jerry "Ape Hangers", enjoyed by the "Dress like a pirate" crowd are apparently comfortable for long highway rides. Poor for control at low speeds though.

Moved Kid 1 into residence at Uni today. (Went very smoothly, very well run). Did the grocery shop to stock up. Store had Boo-Berry cereal!

    Playing around with HomeAssistant the last couple of days. Works very well, nice interface, and picks up all my Google speakers. Need to work on getting it integrated with some of my lights and switches

    Every time I've had surgery, I've been required to show up at least two hours before the actual procedure. I usually end up laying on a gurney for at least an hour before I'm wheeled into the OR. Why is that long wait time so necessary?

    I need to wake up at 6:30 tomorrow for a 9:45 surgery. 🤷​

    Here in Ottawa, Live! On Elgin just hit 10000 tickets sold. Their ticket sales go directly to the performers, so that's pretty cool. I'm glad they're around.
