I started reading Praise, Book 1 in the Salacious Players Club series tonight. I've read 71 percent of it in the last few hours. It's a change from the dragon shifter books I've been reading for the last few days, that's for sure. @bookstodon @romancelandia @readinglightsout

I thought it was a very well written erotic romance. Hope you’re enjoying it.

I really liked the movie, but didn’t like the way the director had Uma Thurman do her role as President. And her accent was horrendous. Otherwise, it was lovely to see such a great book as a movie. Loved the steamy scenes!

King Arthur legend, right?

I love hearing the real history and how the legends/myths come out from them.

My latest WIP. I’m really enjoying having a crochet hook back in my hand.

So this happened this morning. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to see it in person. A female with 10 chicks…on a deck rail!

Two turkey chicks sitting between two flower planters on the deck rail. A cucumber plant sits just below on a blue bench along with a metal dragon reading a book.

I have Stella D’oro around two sides of my . These started from a single plant many years ago. I also have descendants in other areas of my beds.

    8bwc, PNW garden report. This is my second year , and basically all of my soil is new to being gardened too. I never got around to making a Garden Plan for this year, but as it turns out, that’s probably for the best. Some things are thriving, but the rest of them? If it dies or just sits there for a month, I’m replanting it or planting something else there instead. I’m growing tomatoes in four different spots with four different methods. There are three potato patches, three lettuce beds, and two corn areas. It’s not really on purpose, but I’m making it work.
    My favorite tomato (by description, of course) has definitely turned out to be the pickiest grower. None of the Sokolades has uncurled its leaves since I planted them (one grow bag, one raised bed, one dry farmed dirt). The earliest, Uralskiy Ranniy, is thriving everywhere (grow bag and wine barrels) and starting to set more and more fruit. The Roma, striped German, and Graham’s Good Keepers are growing too, but none of them are super-earlier.
    The lettuce mystery was definitely overwatering - thank you to the person who suggested that! That bed has drip irrigation, but it also catches overspray from the strawberries beside it, and it’s definitely the wettest spot. The carrots seem to be loving it, though. I’ll fill it in with something thirsty to overwinter - more carrots? Cabbage?
    The corn and potatoes are doing ok. The corn is down there around my shins, and all the varieties are about the same size, so they’re probably ok. (Maybe they’re all dying though, growing food is kinda hard!) The no dig potato compost patch is getting raided hard by the chickens, but they’re not attacking the plants so I let them at it. When they do dig too close to a potato mound, I just repair the damage and lay some sticks over that spot to deter them.
    Yesterday I fired the greenhouse back up. The Brussels I direct sowed a couple weeks ago haven’t made an appearance - inconsistent watering, tsk tsk! (I’m watering my pole beans better.) So I started a 12 pack of Brussels.
    All of my melon varieties are very short season, but the smallest seeded one is still tiny. So I thought I’d restart one of that Sakata Sweet melon, see if I can get it grown up a bit and transfer it out. Who will win? Let’s find out!
    Both of my previous rounds of basil transplants have sullenly refused to grow in our chilly, inconsistent weather, but I’m not out of seeds yet so I started more.
    And since I had the lights on again, I started a bunch of zinnias and sunflowers. They’ll all go in the orchard for summer color. I know sunflowers prefer to be direct sowed, but the orchard isn’t a good place for that! Hopefully they’ll naturalize there.

    RomComLove,

    @donkeyherder @gardening

    As someone thinking of starting to veggie garden it was fun reading your report. Thanks!
