I'm a felon. But you know what I never did?

I never blamed anyone else for my adolescent fuck-up.

I didn't call the judge names.

I never once served my sentence with anything but grace and got out with almost half my time off for good behavior.

I never appealed my verdict.

I never went back. It's been 35 years now.

@mcc you should have seen the look on my neighbor when he was paying off the bet today..

When deliberation started, I bet him that it would be done before close of business (court) today. I won that one. Then he called me and double-or-nothinged on me and gave me an over/under of 30 on number of convictions and I took the over, and won again. ;-)

I went out and bought a REALLY nice bottle of scotch. :) (Lagevuelin 16)

You might have heard that "EV sales are slumping", "people are starting to avoid EVs", etc.

That's not what's happening.

What's happening is "Tesla is cratering so hard that it's skewing the aggregate market data."

@mhoye People got it out of their system and realize that until battery capacity improves it's not worth the effort and the thousands of dollars it costs to install a decent charger in your garage.

  1. My garage is on the opposite side of my house from my electrical panel.

  2. My electrical panel is full.

  3. Installing a car charger would involve upgrading the feed from the street to support the extra 50A circuit.

  4. If you found a qualified, licensed electrician to do that job for $700 including the cost of the charger, please give me his name, because he's the cheapest electrician I've ever heard of.

@mhoye Also - I drive less than 2,500 miles a year. It takes a LONG time to to make up $700 in savings at that rate. ;-)

Also - i've worked with computers long enough to not trust any car that is controlled by one.

@jannem @CosmicTraveler @mhoye When I do road trips I do straight through trips. (half of my annual mileage is my summer beach trip, and I usually do it in a single drive with a 10 minute gas break.

530 miles in about 6 hours. Can't do that in an electric.

@deadsuperhero I think that the belief that "people want to see me" is narcissism of the first order. Of course then again, so is almost all social media.

It's an outlet...but if it were to disappear tomorrow I think the world would be a better place, after a brief adjustment period that is. :)

TikTok going away would be the best first step I can think of. Now let's kill facebook next.

I love it when reality steamrolls over sovereign citizens. These clowns try the same bogus tactics over and over again, and it never works. They'll stand there in court reciting rambling nonsense about fringe on flags, and admiralty law, and their name in all caps, and 20 min later when they're done, the judge is like, "denied", and then they go to jail. They're featured pretty often on where they literally never succeed.
