My Hobbits took on the forces of Isengard again today. They managed to win the first game and draw the second.

4 Hobbit Archers (Out of focus) on a building looking down over a large number of Uruk-Hai

Hobbits formed up in 2 rows face off against the Uruk-Hai. Sam is on a pony at the end of the front line of Hobbits

On 8th Oct 1952 the worst civilian rail disaster in UK history happened in London. 112 would die. 340 would be injured.

That accident, and the actions of one woman from Florida have saved THOUSANDS of lives since.

Because that disaster would help lead to the creation of paramedics. /1 🧵

Ramos is a great kicker. But looking at him just now I was wondering: was there ever a pro forward kicker in the modern game? I mean, it might just happen that you have this prop who happens to be incredibly talented at kicking. Anyone know?

@philippsteinkrueger @rugby some of it is time, forwards training has so much scrum, lineout and breakdown work, the time to do the modern kicking hours becomes an issue.

NOTE: I quoted a report from an executive of DuckDuckGo attending the antitrust lawsuit against Google. This article has now been retracted from Wired:

"After careful review of the op-ed, "How Google Alters Search Queries to Get at Your Wallet," and relevant material provided to us following its publication, WIRED editorial leadership has determined that the story does not meet our editorial standards. It has been removed."

I hope we'll learn more about what Google actually does, since September 28, the court established a process allowing the Justice Department to publish more information about this case.
