He tells Trump he's about to issue his ruling, in which he will again find Trump in contempt of court.

The last thing I want to do is put you in jail, Justice Merchan says to Trump. You are the former President of the United States and possibly the next President as well.

But "going forward," he continues, "this court will have to consider jail sanctions" if necessary.

Why can't he be put up overnight in a hotel, so that his SS detail won't have to go into a jail to protect him? No worse than sequestering a jury is it? The OJ Simpson jury spent weeks in a motel/hotel. No smartphone, no posting.

I see they put lawyer and political adviser, John Podesta, in charge of advising Biden about climate change. I'm surprised they didn't hire a famous football coach or maybe a 4 star chef or Grammy award winner to explain atmospheric physics and the Earth's heat budget, along with the effects of greenhouse gases.

We often hear the complaint that there's no way to lock the Defendant up were he found guilty, pointing to problems about security and his SS detail. I've been saying for years now that the solution is Gitmo. Of course! It's where we've locked up terrorists since 2003. Donald should be perfectly safe there.

That might be better phrased as "maintain control of school boards". TX has the most horrific school system in the nation with the possible exception of Kentucky, and Xian nationalists have been in charge for thirty years or more. All that matter in TX schools are Jesus and football.

I apologize for my cynical grousing today. My entire family going back to the early 1900s was from Texas, and I'm the only one not born there, so when I see more mention of the Republican/Xian takeover it just bums me out.

Joe and Mika are whining about all the murderous Middle Eastern regimes of the past 50 years that colleges DIDN'T protest, making comparisons with Saddam Hussein, Sadat, and the Sudan, while belittling campus protests against the Israeli slaughter of the Palestinians. The difference is that the US has been PAYING for Zionists to kill Palestinians and kick them off their land for almost 80 years; we didn't pay for the atrocities in Syria or Iran, but Mika and Joe have chosen to ignore that.

US House just passed a law limiting your freedom of speech. you cant say having a country based on race/ethnicity is wrong IF you are talking about
You cant compare what israel is doing in Gaza to the Nazi's even tho they are running the place like the warsaw ghetto. The US House just outsourced the definition in our laws to an international organization called holocaust remembrance alliance, they subbed their definition for anti-semitism and put it into our law

Yes. I've said for years that the GOP began selecting for psychopaths during the 1990s. If you're not a Xian con artist, a grifter, or criminally insane you can't even get on the GOP ballot anymore. Domestic abuse and sexual assault are a bonus. Since the 1990s, any Republican member of Congress who shows the slightest trace of scientific literacy, awareness of history, respect for Constitution principles or social conscience is primaried out by people like Paul Gosar and Gym Jordan.

Wow. Turned on the TV to be greeted by railing against Hunter Biden, furious invective normally reserved for gang rapists and mass murders. And Joe Biden is as evil and awful as any president in our history. Chris Christie. Disgusting. Maybe I missed the beginning that would explain it, but I couldn't take more than 20 seconds of it before I went to the weather channel.
