Nothing essential should be in private hands. Infrastructure, food, medicine, clean water, public transportation.... The private sector can sell trinkets, toys, baubles, they can also have restaurants and bars. EVERYTHING ESSENTIAL should be provided to the taxpayers at the lowest possible cost.
Eliminating billionaires would be the single best thing we could do for the continued survival of life on earth.
