The only solution is going need to be a change to IP laws. Drug companies are price gouging while doing research to develop with public money. They are down locking the production so we cant have them doing that anymore.

Sometimes I wonder if people would like a desktop for Linux that does not allow for anything besides the stuff it lists in the GUI, and have one preconfigured app for everything you'd need to do..

Sort of like chromeOS but with a slightly heavier focus on private things, with e.g Firefox for internet and Thunderbird for email, perhaps also having a small companion distro with a webinterface that allows the user to have a little Apple-style ecosystem but entirely based on open and free software?

Maybe make a linux where you simply can only use the gui if you wanted?

I think we should start there and just forgo the restrictions on the os. Like lets get to gui usability first.

I personally think kde is close cause i only need to open terminal when im up to shenanigans.

@volpeon i literally lost my cool last night and figured out how to identify and control i2c devices on my own last night and am working on the documentation.

I just have a domain name. No discord. The reason i did it is cause openrgb has the most pretentious fucking think on their support page. Not even the fucking dependancies listed. Just join discord so we can mock you.

I like to type. Im like a counter culture within a counter culture. Cursed and recursed but still counter to corporate theft and control.

@a1ba @chirpbirb made a bunch of half duplex 4wire rj45-rj11 adapters and had instant 10mbps in the whole house with only a few wire nuts.

@ryanc all the fucking US states they listed as acceptable are refusing to even issue or have outright banned or are trying to ban gender recognition

They are outright trying to ban us. And this is foreign policy so I've called my US rep who's involved with UK foreign policy and isn't anti lgbt. I'm hoping to cause problems on this side of the pond and hope it fucks up trade talks fuck the Tories

@ryanc I'm from Illinois and now we are exploring other eu countries for a new facility at work. As of just a few mins ago after I saw this.

We are an Illinois company and kinda take offense to this stuff. I will not respect anti trans bigotry. Especially not when it directly targets me. Like how tf would I even be allowed to go to the uk with this passing? Like half the team wouldn't be able to get visas
