The “best” part about using a piv/cac card with windows?

Entering your PIN twice because you forgot to wait for the unprompted, unnecessary screen “refresh” windows does that blanks the PIN field every time you log in.

@bynkii Christ, I feel ya. First I have to enter a 10-digit code to get the computer to boot up (RAM drive lock), Then enter my CAC PIN at least 4 or 5 different times as different apps load. 1 to gain access to the damn thing, 1 for network access, 1 for Teams, 1 for OneDrive (which may or may not stick for a day or two), 1 for Outlook 365, and 1 for Installation alerts. And that’s if I’m in my DoD office. Gods help me if I’m teleworking and have to include a VPN. (1/3)

@bynkii That’s common for a fully weighted motorhome. In fact when I plan my trips, I factor a stop every 250 miles for refueling. Bigger question is how long will it take to “refuel” this electric vehicle before you’re back on the road again. Are you done traveling for the day?

I’ve found it doesn’t matter if I’m traveling in a Class A, or C, or hauling my 24 foot trailer, 9-12 MPG is what to expect. And generally 250 miles is my range. (1/2)

@gedeonm Went down that road 20 years ago. Back then it was Emeril and AllClad. I learned to, er, excuse the pun, stick with cast iron and stainless steel. You just have to know how to use them. See my omelet slide off onto the plate. I’ve grown attached to a brand called Misen that I helped out on kickstarter. Great pans and knives. They’ve also got some carbon steel. Love using the carbon on my charcoal grill.

@gedeonm Next time I’ll try to remember. It’s beautiful. Butter, but not too hot to scorch it. Pour 2 beaten eggs in, cover so that the heat convects back down on top of the egg, somewhat cooking the top. Ham and shrooms are sautéed in that cast iron pan. Once eggs are ready, I do that flip where the egg goes up and flips and lands in the pan upside down. Ham/shroom on top. Turn off the heat. Add fiesta blend cheese and fold the egg in half and just let it sit a minute.

@gedeonm Made another omelet in my stainless skillet. Recorded it for you. Just a straight recording. No editing. Flip wasn’t that beautiful but you get the point. Doesn’t stick.

2 eggs. Butter. Mushrooms and Canadian bacon sautéed in an old Wagner cast iron skillet. Cheese is some provolone and cheddar I smoked in January and shredded for the occasion.

Just took my iPad out of my thin profile case to clean it (have not in maybe years) and boy…. my poor iPad. Looks like it’s been through a hail storm! I don’t get it. I don’t treat it badly. It’s been dropped a couple times but this really doesn’t make much sense. Those white flakes are also not dust, they are micro flecks in the space gray metal.

It is 5 years old now, so I guess it’s to be fairly expected. When was the current iPad Pro introduced? No clue when a new one is coming.

I normally believe that making dough ahead of time and letting it sit in the fridge is a great way to have perfect dough. But I guess this sat too long because it's tearing as soon as I try to shape it. Maybe one week is a good limit.

I love how so many people are racking their brains on why the isn’t very sticky. It’s the algorithm or the UI or the confusion over selecting servers or moderation issues.

We don’t have any cool . Like there’s a reason launched with famous people. It’s why and are so popular. It’s a way for normal people to interact with and feel involved with the lives of rich famous people.

If I could pay for cool celebrities to join a mastodon server all the complaints people are fighting about wouldn’t matter at all.

@gedeonm I hope you enjoy it! Imma enjoy it regardless of who says what. I’ll begin by watching all the others again for a clear perspective of the characters and timeline. Then I’ll rent and watch it in my large screen home theater while gorging myself on popcorn that’s also made in my commercial theater kettle popcorn machine. If you want real theater tasting popcorn, you need a real theater machine. Also, because frack them kids and their fracking parents.
