At this point LLMs are like sex. Seeing it everywhere without explicit consent of users makes me feel super gross like I'm supposed to be into something I don't want or need because it makes people feel special without thinking they need to earn any trust.

There are people who swear to me they haven't noticed Twitter's quality deteriorate since Musk took over but for the last few weeks any time I'm linked to a post it opens like this, and if I background the app 4/5 times it just disappears. Do people just not notice things like this or is it cope?

That thing where you needed to scan some tax documents that came via mail, the old scanning app you used didn't work anymore, the ones in the App Store all seemed annoying and scammy, and 6 hours later you are no more ready to file your taxes than you were this morning, but you do have your own scanning app that does just what you want it to do.

12/26-1/1 is underrated. Everything up through 12/25 is a stressful mess, and that first week of January is always a bummer. But this little window lets you enjoy those pain in the ass decorations, not have any major family commitments, and you get to say “Happy New Year” which is a real crowd pleaser
