Moin! Ich weiß, dass Petitionen nervig sind, aber die beim Bundestag bewirken zumindest das sich ab 50k Unterschriften ein Ausschuß damit beschäftigen muss.

Can any of the nerds on here tell me when everything in the ./lib directory stopped being autoloaded by default?

My gut feeling says version 3.0, but I'm going through a legacy codebase presumably running 3.2 that made that assumption.

@alda uhm, I think that was later. I think that was with defaults and such things. So around 5.0? But maybe it already happened at 4.2, didn't remember 😅

@alda Oh wow! Yeah, that makes sense. Back at that time it become more and more popular to write your own gems instead of libs.

Wtf, that's really impressive Tech Debt. How did they managed to do that? Did they never deploy? Oh wait, do they still use the gems from the vendor?

Thank you for that perspective. Now I look at the system I'm currently working on with other eyes, it's not that bad after all... 😅

Heya Berlin mutuals, I’m doing another friendly and covid-safe get-together at https://zenner.berlin this coming Monday, Sept 4th 12–14. This is ostensibly “lunch”, but you can hop-on a drop-off any time that works for you and you can eat or not eat, whatever. Kids, friends, partners are very welcome.

@baldur I feel you. I'm currently fighting with post covid and am happy enough that it "only" affects me physically and my brain works fine overall. Still, it sucks a lot as I couldn't do proper cycling for months now :(

@baldur aye! It looks like that, the crashes after exhaustion are only minimal and don't last long these days. And thanks to good pacing overall I have the feeling that I get stronger slowly week by week. It's just soo slow 😩
