Weil sich offensichtlich einige ueber von aufregen. Fair enough!

Laeuft lokal (deshalb ja auch die geforderte NPU, die die OEMs einbauen muessen) und soll(!) nicht von Microsoft abgerufen werden.

Genau in dem Moment muss sich jeder ueberlegen ob er das nutzt oder nicht. Ich kann mir durchaus Anwendungsszenarien vorstellen.

Wuerde ich es nutzen? Nein!
Sollte Microsoft hier auf Opt-In switchen? Ja!

@pallenberg Ich denke nicht, dass es MS hier vor allem um das Auffinden von Informationen auf privaten Rechnern geht, sondern halte das für einen geschickt verkauften, experimentellen Zwischenschritt.

(Zugegebenermassen habe ich hier möglicherweise eine entsprechend gefärbte Brille auf.)

Jan Feddersen wird hier als Redakteur “für besondere Aufgaben”
beschrieben. Ist das bei der Taz ne besondere Aufgabe oder Standardprogram?
(Ist ja immerhin nicht von der CvD korrigiert worden.)

@beandev @ljrk @jakesmolka @tazgetroete Ob und dass #Nemo gegen andere gedisst hätte - was ich extrem unangebracht fände - rechtfertigt doch nicht, Angriffe auf CSU/AFD-Niveau aus dem Keller zu holen.
Der Reflex legt eher nahe, dass #JanFeddersen dafür nicht bin in den Keller gehen musste, und dass er das in der #taz tat, könnte man als Zeichen dafür sehen, dass er sich dabei ziemlich sicher fand.

I wish mastodon's automatic deletion had a "keep bookmarked posts and all posts in the same thread as them" and not just "keep bookmarked posts".

I bookmarked some old astro outreach posts so they don't disappear (astro does not expire!), but they often also contain some (very good!) questions from folks and I never bookmarked answers (lots of work + that introduced chaos into my bookmarks, esp if people comments get deleted) and now it looks like I've never answered them 😞

@vicgrinberg So own replies should not be autodeleted in bookmarked (sub)threads? Sounds very useful.

(May be complex/expensive: One implementation would have every deletion task walk up the tree to either a bookmark or the root. But the path to the root may be interrupted by someone else’s deletion. Interesting.

I’m not really happy with Mastodon’s handling of replies in threads, either. e.g. I think deletions should leave a stub to keep a thread connected.)

@morticah @Mela Ich vermute, dass nicht die Irinnen „Alles von der Insel“ gegen „Gift“ verwendet haben. Nashörner werden ja auch nicht wegen der Erektionsprobleme von Indern und Nepalesen ausgerottet…

So, here I have a new follower from named IncestMilfs.
They joined two days ago and are posting content that is pornographic under German law and now it is on my instance and my instance (which I am responsible for) makes it accessible to minors.
To be safer I have to at least silence mastodon.social if not defederate.
Two days. Mastodon.Social has no idea what they are doing anymore.

For those who like , here's an sql that looks for the currently used spam-images per instance, limited by the last 3 hours and at least 10 hits.
I’ll use this as a blocklist for now.
Edit to clarify: It looks for a hash of the blurred pictures created by mastodon, so it actually looks for the pictures in a way, not hashtags.

Can we please have a feature that lets us block traffic of Mastodon servers that have not been patched?
The API gives away the version number of the server - I‘m close to hacking a script that creates blocklists based on Server versions.

Ich trinke einen weiteren Kaffee, belausche weiter den Nachbartisch und fühle mich bestätigt in der Überzeugung, dass alte, von sich selbst überzeugte Männer wesentlicher Teil des generellen Problems sind.
Da ist eine Mischung aus Mangel an Demut, Selbstreflektion und eine eher mässige Fähigkeit zum Nachdenken. Jedes Hirn in der eigenen Echokammer.
Und das waren jetzt nicht einmal Nazi-Opas.

Das Video zu kopieren und zu verteilen, ändert gar nichts 🤷

Btw., das ist nicht das erste Mal, dass solche #Fascho-Party-"Spaß" Videos im Umlauf sind. Schon 2023 wurde zum Song „L’amour toujours“ von Gigi D'Agostino die Parole „Deutschland den Deutschen, Ausländer raus“ gesungen.

Gestern Konzert im in , schön und heiß, kostete umgerechnet €11 pro Liter, (kleine) Wasserflaschen mussten am Eingang geleert werden.

Außer mit den wenigen, eher unappetitlichen Waschbecken überfüllter Klos gab es keine Wasserstellen!
