edit: apparently the japanese version is also shutting down so I imagine there is probably some contractual obligation to release, but oof, still a bad look

I finished my manga "MOONLIGHT" I completed it last summer and turned it into an e-book.
It's my first short manga I've ever drawn, so there are a lot of parts that are clumsy, but I'd be happy if you read it.
This is a Japanese version, but I'll create an English version in the near future as I'd like as many people as possible to be able to read it.
The next work is currently in production.
I would also like to post about the production process.

Finished K-ON! It had come out around when I was feeling really burned out on anime, but I'm glad I decided to give it a go.

Fun vibes, fun music, and a fun cast to spend time with.

Kinda wild it was almost exactly a decade from when I dropped the majority of anime watching and then started back up.

folks who listen to podcasts, what are some video game related podcasts you’d recommend? I’m pretty picky and don’t really like most I’ve run into. Bombcast, waypoint, etc just aren’t my thing. Basically less news/AAA focused, more neat things you might not hear of elsewhere.

I like insert credit, Video Game History Hour, and no more whoppers, wouldn’t mind some more in the rotation. I’ve got some others but they’re very irregular.

Can anyone recommend a Japan to America proxy service? I heard to stay away from Buyee. Is FromJapan any good?

@fujiwara I know several people who use Buyee regularly without issue. People tend to have one bad experience with anything and that becomes the entire truth for them.

@fujiwara it’s also very possible their issue was actually with the original vendor and not Buyee, lots of potential failure points with forwarders. I know for most the final shipping price with any of them can be surprising

@fujiwara they should all list their fees somewhere on their sites. But things like total volume of shipped items, method, etc will all factor in. I know they often do ocean freight which gets cheaper (per item) the more you have, but if you’re only doing some small stuff that method can be very costly.

I think the type of item would also be a factor. International freight is an increasingly costly business unfortunately. (Used to deal with this professionally)

Started watching the Scott Pilgrim anime.

When I heard that it was a "re-imagining" of the Scott Pilgrim story, I wasn't sure what to think. But first, it is. Second, it makes me want to re-read the comic when I'm done.

    Gushing over Magical Girls Episode 1 Impressions

    Well that was sure a first episode. It had some funny moments, and hoo boy, it doesn't shy away from the ecchi, especially S&M.

    Main character was more interesting than I expected. Can definitely see her diving deep in to her role as the dominatrix villain.

    For those who don't want ecchi in their shows involving school girls in anime, definitely steer clear.

    @gnitro I’d checked out a few chapters of the manga a while back and yeah. Just not for me. It’s not even that it’s ecchi, it’s the specific delivery of it
