remember when trump said if we just stop testing for covid it would go away as if by a miracle and everyone thought that was a scandalously stupid thing to say

on an entirely unrelated note since 3 weeks ago the CDC no longer requires hospitals to report covid hospitalizations and now biobot is no longer showing covid wastewater data for the US

@eniko ...I Guess. At least as far as if you can't swing Schmaltz, Tallow, Lard, Duck fat, etc---peanut is probably the best non-contrived thing to use for temp resistances and character, especially as compared to soybean and such which is race to the bottom incarnate.

Been trying to figure out how to phrase the next era of my / studio

If it's my partner and I making games, but she's a very silent artist partner and wants zero exposure, do I just roll the "single creator" angle?

It feels weird, but also a lot of single creator games sure have lots of contractors so shrug?

Like if I say "couple", EVERYONE gonna zero in on that. The angle they'll want is couple interviews. And, well. No.

yuzu kitsune tails, a purple haired fox girl, picks up samurai armor in a tower that's rapidly filling with lava. she jumps away from the rising lava and sticks her spear in the wall, doing a dashing twirl to get on top of it. she walks off the spear and into a new scene, fighting a ghost fox with armor and spear. it stabs and she jumps over, but is caught by a follow up stab. the ghost fox over extends and its ghostly powers wane, giving yuzu a chance to bop on its head

@eniko An unfortunate rarely challenged game genre backdrop orientation for games/rpgs, despite being Real in books/P&P. You compromise nothing and have fantasy give way and/or intermingle with sci-fi/high tech doings on a planetary/universe scale. Hard to say what the most prominent would even be games wise...I suppose Star Ocean in a sense.

Chatting with someone in the Discord channel about how certain mechanics should work in SotW, finding issues, and fixing them for the next release, which feels like such a long way off. No new release until music's done, and I refuse to even guess at an ETA for that.

looks like the middle segment of the games industry is starting to run out of money, not too long after all the VC funding dried up because of interest rates. those publishers willing to fund stuff are either smaller ones looking at smaller indies (few 100k) or huge games

its sad but unsurprising given how many studios in the industry rely on publisher/VC funding

anyhow, it'd be nice if people in general didn't do stuff that strengthens the association between video games and gambling. a lot of game developers are actively trying to distance our side of things from gambling, which is hard enough with AAA doing shit like loot boxes and gambling companies classifying themselves as "online gaming"

Worst workout in these past 6+ years of obsessively doing it---UTTERLY INEXPLICABLY lost about 40lbs worth of performance capability in an exercise....several months to nearly a year worth of progress just up in smoke despite all these advancements in the same and tangential areas over the past 2 months since I last dealt with this specific set on the rotation. WTF

@juliancday This has never happened before to me in any capacity, let alone one where I had to drop such a dramatic amount as each increment made no difference until that point. I literally just qualified for a weight increase on an exercise using this exact same muscle group the same way last week---and was fully recovered from, no fever, dinner/breakfast sorted, etc. I couldn't even move the thing off the floor. :/
