That pie lashes. (in Trinidad, I'm told)

@RickiTarr No, are kidding me!? I can barely stand watching humanity make their usual mistakes a few times around in my life, but watching that shit endlessly is a nightmare…

Don’t get me wrong, you’re (mostly) all precious unique snowflakes and I love you madly as individuals with all my heart!

But the whole messy human tomfoolery turning around and around forever? No thanks, I look forward to a good deceased REST one of these days, thanks anyway.

Y'all remember when we sent our boys overseas to stop the Nazis from doing whatever this is?

This time there are three scantily clad women tied up by their wrists, in the background is a really smirky Nazi, in the foreground is a boiling cauldron that looks like it's full of lava and a hand holding a glowing Nazi brand
Okay there are three women once again all scantily clad, two are in the background in a prison cell looking on in horror as the third woman is tied up on her knees. There's some topless dude who looks like Yule Brenner holding yet another Nazi brand, while a Nazi officer watches joyfully. There is a headline: The Wild French Nymph Who Smashed Hitler

    Okay I'm going to describe something, that I'm thinking that some other people have too:

    So, when I'm feeling very sad, emotional, and overwhelmed, and I just feel like I can't keep going. I have this sort of other hyper rational part of myself. I call it Outside Man, mostly because it feels like it hovers over the top of my ocean of my emotions, and can see things from outside of where I am. Outside Man is the one who tells me that emotions change and this intensity of feeling won't last forever, and I need to do the things I know will help my mental state.

    Is this or something like this, something other people experience?

    And yes, I know that it's probably inherently sexist that I call what I consider my more rational self by a male moniker, but I've called it that since I was a kid, and it's stuck. Hubs said Outside Man sounds like a horror movie!

    In the 90's, a full grown man who was pretending to be a doctor, wrote a book called Men Are From Mars, and Women Are From Venus. The book simply stated that women are emotional, and men are rational, while writing about his downright abusive irrational treatment of his own wife, and somehow this was a best seller.

    @squaremoon Yes, every time they’ve been available. I’m at risk medically if I were to get COVID, so I’ve had six or seven total shots now, I think!?

    This most recent booster is very important though- offers protection against the current variants.

    Big help preventing long COVID, too, multiple boosters reduce chances of that.
