@hergertme No clue about performance or profilers, but if this isn't the most beautiful looking plumbing tool I dunno what is. I want to pretend I know how to use it in front of people.

I need some advice.

I'm increasingly unhappy with WordPress. It's the wrong tool for most client jobs.

I really like @getkirby. It's flexible, fast, easy. It's mature but fresh. The source is open but... it's not .

I trust these developers to behave ethically. It checks more feature boxes than any other CMS, by far. But, it lacks the insurance of that license.

WP is open, but feels proprietary. Kirby is proprietary, but feels open.

What would you do?

@ryangorley As much as it initially sounds like trolling, just go ahead with a plain HTML+CSS for portfolio site. And something common like jekyll, hugo or zola for blogs. github/gitlab allow to deploy the site using CI and all you worry about is a domain. Might be a bit tedious to get off the ground, but it's super convenient long term.

@jimmac Not sure who to ask, but I'm thinking of developing an acoustic identity for GNOME next year, and deriving a system sound theme (for desktop and mobile!) from it. 🤓️ I wonder where to start. 🙂️ For example, I would need to make a list of all the sounds that need to be composed. I mean, I'd like to approach my work in line with GNOME's goals. Do you maybe have any advice on the best way to approach this? Thanks in advance!

It's been a while since I've taken a photo! This is the Zizkov Tower in Prague, Czech Republic. It's said to be the second ugliest building in the world (second only to the Morris A. Mechanic Theatre in Baltimore). However, living in the area around it, you can't help but love it. It's a symbol that watches over you when you come home from a pub, and sits on the horizon when you're out with your family. Plus, it'll look amazing in 700 years!

Don't tell me Unity internally calls Apple Vision Pro "Bratwurst" :) 🌭

This just appeared in my Unity ProjectSettings.asset. Any idea what is the Bratwurst platform? Internet is silent, except for https://docs.unity3d.com/2023.2/Documentation/ScriptReference/PlayerSettings.Bratwurst.html, which is not helpful at all.
