Sunday morning collage exploration

Process: created a few acrylic on newsprint studies, cut them down, glued them together, painted over them again. Animated the UV maps in blender. Cut out rotating discs.

Animated concentric rings of color (pale blue and orange) textured paper. White paint. Rotation. Collage.

One of my favorite songs is the gorgeous Song to the Siren by Rose Betts. The song was originally written by Tim Buckley, but Bett's version is more of a cover of the 1983 version by This Mortal Coil. It appears in the director's cut Zack Snyder's Justice League.

@AaronReuland this is beautiful on several levels! I love the subtle watercolor-like edge treatments. I kinda wish the font faces had a little tonal variation/noise to double down on that analog look. 🤩

Similarly I find labels like ‘all natural’ on food and cosmetics amusing. After all, poison ivy is all natural and organic too, but you definitely wouldn’t want to eat it or rub it on your face.
