This led for 21 yrs.

’s “cheerleading” for ’s regime got a tremendous boost during his tour of landmarks of the “miracle,” as Teigrob recounts in riveting detail. The photographs tell a very chilling story as well, especially one that shows King sitting proudly in Hitler’s seat at the All-German Sports Competitions while surrounded by Nazi bigwigs in full swastika-studded regalia.

"We learn, for example, that King had an abiding fear of Americans, such as President Theodore Roosevelt, wanting to take over Canada; that he felt a kinship to Hitler because of the two leaders’ attachments to their mothers; and that he saw himself on a divine mission, fulfilling the destiny of his rebel grandfather and namesake, William Lyon Mackenzie, in trying to bring Britain and Germany together to avoid war"

#PaperExcellence has hired McMillan at least six times over the last six years to advise on more than $6 billion US in transactions, including its takeovers of #forestry companies #CatalystPaper, #Domtar & #ResoluteForestProducts. It also represented a Paper Excellence subsidiary in a dispute with CN Rail.

Multiple #legal #ethics experts said they felt the FSC's decision to hire McMillan was problematic.

@MatWright Going back decades. Clearcutting/deforestation & corrupt backroom relationships between BC governments & ecocidal companies just got more entrenched. Both the former BC Liberals & BC NDP aren't into much solid environmental protections. They are both bought out in backrooms by same deforestation/ecocidal lobbyists.

For the #Chinese community of #Newfoundland & #Labrador it's a thriving community built in spite of racism, hardship & #discriminatory government policy.

In , many , in as elsewhere, remain unknown. The Baseball Hall of Fame, whose mission is to commemorate “great players, teams, and accomplishments of baseball in Canada” and create “a culture which champions education, respect, diversity and healthy lifestyles across generations” has continued to place below white achievement.

"Recently, the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame, for the fifth straight year, shunned the 1934 Chatham Coloured All-Stars, a team that overcame segregation, discrimination, violence, and blatantly biased officiating to become the first all-Black team in Canadian history to win a provincial title. The team was on the verge of a second championship in 1939 when the playoffs were canceled due to war."
