Mein marokkanischer Nachbar hat mir gestern Abend einen Teller voll marokkanischen Süssgebäcken gebracht - der Teller hat sich fast gebogen😆 Er meinte, auch wenn ich kein Muslim sei, solle ich mir doch wie er nochmal den Bauch vollschlagen, bevor der Ramadam anfängt.

In einer Welt, in der sich die Menschen wegen Religion auf die Mütze geben und unvorstellbares Leid anrichten, ginge es eigentlich auch anders.

In dem Sinn: Eid Mubarak allen Schwestern und Brüdern muslimischen Glaubens.

Ich habe mir einen Trilby genäht. Aus schwarzem Baumwollköper, den ich dann mit einer 50/50 Mischung aus Bienenwachs und Leinöl bestrichen habe. Da die Mischung recht hart ist, erst das Glas mit der Fettmischung und den Hut im Backofen aufgewärmt, dann eingestrichen, dann wieder in Backofen bis alles eingezogen war. Dreimal wiederholt. Mittlerweile polymerisiert das Leinöl, und der Hut ist sowohl relativ fest in der Form, also auch wasserabweisend. Wurde heute früh im Regen auf dem Fahrrad getestet. Das Innenfutter ist auch Baumwolle, das fand ich mal in einer Restkiste. Mitgenommen hatte ich es schon mit der Idee es für irgendeine Kopfbedeckung als Futter zu verwenden. Das Hutband ist aus Baumwollwebware welches ursprünglich zu Corona zur Maskenproduktion gekauft wurde.

In meinem kleinen Hinterhof hat es nun jeden Tag etwas mehr Sonne. Yoshiko geniesst es!

Ich weiss, es sind da nicht Alle meiner Meinung, aber...:

Ich will denen mal Danke sagen, die wenig schreiben, aber viel lesen und faven. Introvertiert kann man auch auf Social Media sein, und wenn ich von Leuten weiss oder vermute, dass sie eher zurückhaltend sind, empfinde ich ein faven oder boosten als Wertschätzung.

This is VERY old skool: the "Salve Regina" (11th century) is a Gregorian antiphon that is particularly beautiful in the version of the Cistercian monks. It is sung at the end of the Complet, the last officium of the day. In the monastery where I will soon be working, the friars in the cloister sing it by candlelight. Very moving. This is a version from this very abbey
