I saw a Cybertr*ck on Monday and it definitely looked like a shiny tissue box on wheels. The stock wheel & tire combo looks kinda puny in comparison to the rest of it.

@Dylan There's one or two around town, and, uh, yeah. Even if you liked the concept, I can't imagine seeing the result and handing over real American currency for it. It looks unfinished, and not in the "the textures didn't load yet" way, but in the "this is my kit truck I've been building in the garage, it's not done yet, but look, it runs!" way.

This car can't even exist outside of the '80s. That laggy turbo, that boxy yet sleek body, that combination of Chrysler and Mitsubishi build quality... The -purest- of the 1980s automotive landscape.

My dad & step-mom are on a trip in France and I just got this message from pops:

“This our little Fiat 500. It’s a 6-speed manual transmission hybrid. The “streets” in this village are about 12” wider than the car with stone walls on both sides! It’s the first time I’ve driven a stick shift in almost 30 years! We both are doing fine with smooth shifts and no stalls.”

So proud of them :’)

I got a little bit of news about my car today and it seems like everything's repairable -- no frame damage. That's a huge relief. Gonna call the shop tomorrow to see what they think the repair timeline's gonna look like.

@Dylan What preamp are you using?

I actually know almost nothing about styli/cartridges, I just know that my preamp has a ton of different settings to best take advantage of different cartridges, so it might be worth looking at what your preamp is set up for/capable of handling.
