Dolphin Emulator added support for HDR post-processing and it sure looks INTENSE on my MacBook. Fun addition to make these games really pop.

Maddy really wanted the original Japanese only n64 cart for her 9th birthday.

We had to reset the game so we can start fresh. Or “reset the unevenness” as the translator app said. Then the digital characters begged for their lives. “Even the scent from the room will be gone”.

Cool cool.

@dan I remember getting Animal Crossing for GameCube back when KB Toys was still a thing. All my friends had the game, so mom finally broke down and took me to the store. They were sold out. I must've looked pretty bummed because an employee went to "check something in the back."

He reappeared with an Animal Crossing disc & memory card, which were from the DNI display box. He let me have it anyway.

Just started a fresh play-through, but this time I'm playing on my computer for portability.

I just tooted 🎺 earlier about finding myself behind a and one of the responses mentioned the dynamics etc.

I’ve never been a big fan of manuals (although I love shiftable automatics) but maybe I should drive the right one to understand why so many fans desire them.

I’ve driven a Golf Mk I manual (not GTi), a Mercedes-Benz (hated it), and a few other nondescript manual rentals in various guises.

If you had to drive ONE manual to understand, which would it be?

I've never driven a BMW manual, but I've heard they haven't been impressive for a few generations.

While I'm trying to come up with a "universal" answer to your question, I think it simply comes down to personal taste.

I've driven a VERY popular stick-shift car and really disliked it. Also driven other manuals that I feel lukewarm about. Love my ‘Yata of course.

I think you figured this already, but the hard-top MX-5 is virtually identical to the soft-top models. Pretty sure the only difference is the roof and the roof switch.

I've actually thought of switching my MX-5 badge to the original “Miata" badge since not many people know what an “em-ex-five" is.

I saw this bumper sticker about two years ago and just came across it in my photo library. Not familiar with Alice Coltrane but I appreciate goofy bumper stickers enough to give her music a listen.

I saw a Cybertr*ck on Monday and it definitely looked like a shiny tissue box on wheels. The stock wheel & tire combo looks kinda puny in comparison to the rest of it.

It's a peacock vehicle through & through.

Visited the Bronx Zoo today with my buddy Chris and we had a blast. I haven't been since 2017 so a lot of it felt fresh.

We made it over the bridge right after rush hour this morning and then got back to LI right around 3:30p. Missing all of the day's traffic was the cherry on top.

Pixelmator Pro -- IDK how you can keep producing updates for already good software for a one time app store price of 49.99 but thanks

VueScan -- how do you run my ancient Minolta 35mm film scanner?? I use you 3 times a year you always update and get slightly better and never ask me for more money. Thanks

+1 for the Pixelmator team. I use Photomator almost every day and it's constantly getting better through updates. Plus it runs fast as hell and feels like a native app. On top of all that, their support staff is responsive and they helped squash a small bug I found recently.

All included with my initial purchase. Hopefully their funding stays solid.

Feeling a little melancholy. Today's is “Hide and Seek" by Imogen Heap.

Ms. Heap clarified that the song is mainly about her parents' divorce & the surrounding events. I was a child of divorce and it hits so hard.

"Hide and Seek" is a haunting vocoder-assisted-a-cappella-ballad inhale. Gives me chills nearly every listen.
