I have addressed the bolts that ripped my pants with protective plastic nubbins (the black lozenge thing at the end of the bar). This was the 2nd test one. The first was a bit too loose. I've since printed 3 more to cover the remaining bolts. They just press into place with a nice snug fit.
I've spent all morning in #OnShape modeling things. First i fixed the bolt cover nubbins, then I made a microphone stand to camera cold-shoe adapter... then I fixed the fact that I attached the shoe 90° off angle.
I'll probably upload both of these to Printables later.
I found a whole bunch of "almost but not quite" things on Amazon. So I made this for wifey's recording.
