100% is true, and I think you can set the "wait for confirmation" prompt in the settings. Found out the hard way what I set it to.

Just to clarify, this was 100% human error and was just my instinct after opening it on my phone for the first time in a few weeks.

Sounds like a #humanfactors problems to me. I see that #mainsail is #opensource, maybe they would appreciate a contribution to change the default on the confirmation dialog or to change the icon?

You can turn on the confirmation prompt in settings. I didn't have it turned on. Probably turned it off a few weeks ago when I was doing some manual leveling and wanted to be able to stop the printer immediately.
