Not too shabby for my first ever real print...

Printing the bottom section now.

I need to decide if I'm brave enough to attempt a colour change when it's time to print the keys though... that might be a bit much for a complete novice!

@diyelectromusic color changes are pretty reliable but have a tendency to make vertical layers slightly misaligned and less solid if they should expect mechanical stress

when i know i'll be able to monitor the print, instead of setting an explicit color change, i like to set up an alarm to change the color while it's still extruding (my printer was converted from bowden to direct drive so it's a 20 seconds operation)

Ok, so this is the result of a single M600 gcode instruction in the right place...

So how can I get it to extrude a line or something before heading back to carry on so it does all blob up in one place...?

Anyone give me a clue?

Off to do some more googleing...

@diyelectromusic I'd print it in ABS and smooth it with acetone vapor, it's easy and works really well
