It's not that those ideas have no precedent but that no mainstream creative software (except game engine) bundles it by default, so it remains the confines of weird nerds who enjoy modding their work environment with plugins
Oh yeah while i do that funny anime av i should remind u how old i am for maximum cognitive dissonance
did i tell u about the first time a computer betrayed me? it's when i discovered the family's tv had NO SCART for my NES. i was interviewed on tv and they recorded me bitching about that.
Was waiting to find someone else talking about da share zone to avoid having a viral post about it myself on fedi.
And i wanna add: Always like that. Trans fem labor used to create something, and chased out when the thing is successful. Keeps happening. Keeps always happening.
As a whole, most talented bitches on earth. They keep the computers running. They're more fun that anyone doing standup professionally. They make better music. They got more clever political shit to say. They got 100 dollars in the bank and live with an abusive dipshit and their community want them dead
The first video of what might be a regular series about DIY hardware synthesizers! I put in a ton of work into this, give it a look, and let me know what you think.
It's so great that nowadays all those amazing math visualizations exist and are widely shared on hacker news and still never reach the high school kids forced to bang their head against the teachers trash explanations for months instead of grasping the concept within 4 minutes
:shiblobnerd: I treat Fedi as my virtual living room, not as an open forum for bigots, or like an influencer trying to make the numbers go up.
Follow requests are subject to a vibe check.
About 10% of my posts are followers-only. No adult images, but the occasional adult topic.
It might not be clear why I refuse requests, please be graceful and understand I have good reasons not to want you to see follower-only posts.
I rarely follow back if you never speak to me: I like my timeline to be mostly familiar faces who'd welcome my interactions. :fat_yoshi_R:
Everyone’s welcome in my replies regardless of follow status in either direction. :tamanoripu:
If I seem to ignore a follow request for over 24 hours, it’s my server acting up, please cancel it and send it again.
I need to decide if I'm brave enough to attempt a colour change when it's time to print the keys though... that might be a bit much for a complete novice!
@diyelectromusic color changes are pretty reliable but have a tendency to make vertical layers slightly misaligned and less solid if they should expect mechanical stress
when i know i'll be able to monitor the print, instead of setting an explicit color change, i like to set up an alarm to change the color while it's still extruding (my printer was converted from bowden to direct drive so it's a 20 seconds operation)
Kosmo modules are a lot like Eurorack, but 20 cm tall, with big jacks. Our small community of DIY builders has been sharing a bunch of designs, and I wanted to organize them better, so I've been working on this little wiki. Not complete yet (no wiki ever is), but already a lot of creators featured:
