Terminado. Ahora a por #GoldenSun La Edad Perdida. Pero de relax, que es la idea. Si quisiera jugar un RPG por mecánicas o historia jugaría a otra cosa.
Honestamente juego a esto por los iconos, los sonidos y los monigotes. 😅
This one was a particularly stressful one because I was afraid to cut the shell, as it's the first GBA I ever had, and I almost cut the connections of the screen cable.
Good thing this screen doesn't need any shell trimming and the screen works perfectly!
@jake4480 my SP mod is mid because it doesn't have any grid, scanline or frame blending mods and the shell is cheap as hell. Got this one just for those features and to do it on my original GBA SP 😂
Let’s talk about how #MarioKartSuperCircuit is a far better Mario Kart than Super Mario Kart on the SNES. Friends and I traveling together played hours of this linked together on over seas flights. Lots of good memories with this game. #GBA#GameboyAdvance#retrogaming
Finally finished my SNES GBA cart I've been sitting in since October of 2020. It's designed after the USA SNES cart and uses the same labels if you use locked scalling and set the width to 37.5mm. I've released the freecad and step files for this one you can can make changes where you see fit. https://www.printables.com/model/666934-snes-gba-cart-usa #gameboyadvance#snes#3dprinting
Just applied to @fosdem for the retrocomputing room with "#Gameboyadvance for retrogamers".
I hope that I will be able to present how to do a game in pure Lua or how to get fun with the emulator
After the "Castlevania" areas of the Fiendlord's castle in Chrono Trigger (https://mastodon.social/@GamesMissed/111304490109151554), I've had it in my head to play an actual Castlevania game. I haven't played Circle of the Moon since it came out over 20 years ago, so it seemed a good place to start again.
I own a #GameBoyAdvance (and an SP) but I'm playing it on my #3DS because a) I'm lazy, b) it has the largest, brightest screen of all my Nintendo portables, and c) why not? This is what #jailbreaking is for.
Continuing my playthrough of #Castlevania: Circle of the Moon. I've now beaten the Iron Golem - not a very difficult battle. But after that, it took me a little while to figure out where to go next to make any progress. I finally found the Endless Corridor and have made it up to Adramelech.
This is a much harder boss than the three that preceded it. For each of them, I died one time only and was able to beat them on the second try. I've now died three times to Adramelech.
I went into the fight the first time with 180 hearts and the stopwatch as my sub-weapon. That was when I learned that the stopwatch has no effect at all on a boss monster.
(Don't @ me, it's been a few decades since I last played a Castlevania.)
After losing the boss battle twice, I backtracked to find a different sub-weapon. I found ... the dagger. Which is really easy to use against Adramelech - it's stationary in the middle of the room, and you can perch on the doorway ledge and fling away.

@SirTapTap I can often make it to the third stage but not sure I've ever been further, in the arcade or on many home versions. This was a casual play in a free 5 minutes and when it was over I was... confused! 🙂
