@msquebanh
Most of the American military installations in Japan are in Okinawa.

Japan basically used Okinawa as a dumping ground so that they didn't have to deal with the higher rape rates that come with living near an American military base.

Very little of what and are doing in is acceptable to me

@tofugolem Isn't there an ethnic/indigenous aspect to how Okinawa is viewed in 'mainland' Japan?

msquebanh,

@wndlb @tofugolem You'd have to ask a Japanese mainlander about their thoughts on that.
I support the Indigenous who want the military squatters, gone.

@tofugolem @msquebanh This article does a good critical analysis. Also see my pinned posts https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/14672710122284

msquebanh,
