@peterdutoit The Intercept Brazil recently published that a report had been commissioned 10 years ago and this tragedy had already been announced. However, governments at all levels found the report alarming and took no action. That's the result for climate deniers.

@peterdutoit The most frightening part is how large are the affected areas by flooding, not only Porto Alegre.

1/3 of the Rio Grande do Sul state's cities have declared state of emergency, and over 300,000 have left their homes.
