@dnc Given you can eat the flowers, and the fullgrown fruit, I'd expect so. It'd be weird for it to have an inedible stage between two edible ones.

@dnc Pumkins and gourds may contain Cucurbitacins, toxic compounds. You can safely eat Cucurbitaceae if the variety is cultivated for edibility and the fruit does not taste bitter. If the fruit tastes bitter, it definitely contains Cucurbitacins and you should not eat it. If it does not taste bitter, it may be good to eat.
