Defend yourself, but not in a way that affects the aggressor, because they might not like it? This is basically the Pope's white flag, except that Ukraine is allowed to take a few more hits before giving up, as long as they don't fight back.
@weddige@geopolitics ...exactly, i was really stunned by this news, if we are very cynical the US thinks it's fine that Ukraine degrades Russian military power for them in their fight for survival but striking back must be limited because of the risks for the US....
@ErikJonker@weddige@geopolitics If true as presented, that policy request is preposterous, and very poorly thought: a disservice to the interests of the US and its allies. Regardless: the EU must care for its own defense and not rely on others.
