404 Media has been off to an incredible debut. Been reading everything they’ve published so far and this is just great, comprehensive, and important investigative #journalism.
One of the interesting parts of that report was how Meta sees the issue as being insignificant within the scale of its overall audience. But as the article points out, the human impact is very real.
@jon yeah brings us to the question of what counts as “insignificant”. I’d love to see a major investigation or analysis of these ads on Meta’s platform + all the malicious google search ads that have been popping up in the past couple years
