aerphanas, @TheMuffinMan this is awesome
Ignacio, We are the Borg (Big Organizations). Lower your self esteem and surrender your freedom. We will add your virtual and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your instance will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile.
AuthorInkwell, ... Am I still allowed to call this "Federated Space"? Because that just sounds so cool! >_<
CaptainBlagbird, We are the Borg, resistance is futile!
Rayspekt, I just realized that the Fediverse logo is a pentagram. Let's see how fast some nutjobs come up with satanic conspiracies.
Also we must not interact with people from the big social networks. It would set them years ahead in their progress and violates the Prime Directive.
Phantom, Can't even do a hexagram either or else it would attract the other conspiracy. You can never win when it comes to conspiracies.
EnigmaNL, Make it a heptagram, problem solved!
fear, Not only is it a pentagram, look at all the pretty colors of the LGBTQ+ agenda.
BongRipsMcGee420, The only two reasons I'm here!
CaptainBlagbird, (edited ) Let's direct them to lemmy.helvetet.eu then... 🤘

density, Cool down
Harlan_Cloverseed, Makes me want to join Beehaw!
Kichae, (edited ) No, no. They're defederating from other instances because those other instances have been too lazy to moderate.
Being an admin in a federated network means being responsible for who you allow to access that network. If you won't be, then other admins will take action.
Aardonyx, And it's not like they've completely isolated themselves from the fediverse, just the two largest open-registration instances. You can still see & interact with beehaw communities from lemmy instances other than world and shitjustworks, afaik
Kaldo, Lets not create artificial animosity between communities just because the admins of one instance have been understandably overwhelmed by a huge influx of new users. That community existed before the reddit exodus so it is understandable that their primary goal is not growth regardless of the cost. Not to mention they are completely right about lack of proper moderation tools.
