That's where #villeneuve seems to have learned that painful lesson, as he had, I think, a multi movie deal from the get go. That's more strategy, or working the #hollywood system, tho.

@antygon nie bylo za glosno, owszem, byly dwie lub trzy bardzo glosne sceny, ale nie wyobrazam sobie, zeby w nich (a przynajmniej TEJ jednej) nie bylo uczucia, ze podloga drzy Ci pod nogami ;)

Widziałem to na maratonie w pakiecie z jedynką - zaczynał się o 22, nie wiem kiedy zrobiła się 4 rano i koniec (no dobra, w połowie była przerwa na kawę miedzy 1 a drugą częścią) ale oglądało mi się płynnie, gładko i bez nawet jednego "kryzysy"
#Villeneuve dowiózł co obiecał jak dla mnie (i tak wiem, trudno mówić o ekranizacji biorąc pod uwagę rozległość zmian, powiedziałbym raczej że interpretacji). Oczywiście mam swoje mniejsze czy większe zastrzeżenia (i do aktorów czasami i ogólnie do reżysera który podjął takie a nie inne decyzje) ale ostatecznie to naprawdę świetny kawałek kina.
I like the novel Dune more than I do LotR, and I think the latest Dune adaptation (both movies taken as a whole) are excellent, and mostly faithful to the book.
But the LotR movies, while admittedly taking a lot of liberties, are so monumental and innovative that they still eclipse the cinematic Dune.
That said, Zendaya probably deserves a nomination next year, for playing Chani in part 2.
