Silicon Valley brained people love to talk about "disruption", but you start suggesting that the best solutions to the climate crisis might involve the government nationalizing multiple industries, investing massively in new infrastructure, and a dramatic deployment of labor and suddenly they lose their minds
@malcircuit it's because disruption just means "how can I make money in a new way" or "how can I upend this monopoly for my own benefit" and nothing to do with actually disrupting how the system works.
