Confession: been seeing OH used on here by folks mostly in the UK to clearly talk about a partner. But did I read this as “other half”? I did not; it was either Ohio or otter husband until I googled it.

@tayfonay Thank you for defining! I didn’t know what OH was either. I knew it related to a relationship, but I’d immediately read it as “other husband” and think how many of those do you have?

@Alice @tayfonay it’s a hydroxy or hydroxyl group. When you look at everything in life as if it’s chemistry, the world starts making a lot more sense.

@Alice @tayfonay Haha yes we in the UK have great fondness for our animal husband, otter is the most common bit of course there is also the AH (antelope husband) and SH (seal husband)
