@appleinsider One can install Ghostscript and related tools to manage PS and EPS. This can also be used to create versions of PDF with different internal resolutions, allowing for the creation of much smaller PDF files in many cases (and where desirable).

@appleinsider@flargh As someone who gave up DTP for multiple reasons when OS X was new (one of the technical reasons being how early OSX managed fonts) this is hitting me a bit like Rip Van Winkle discovering his new beard on waking up. I don’t know how much it really matters.
