@yeti@badtuple Re the protocol devised as a fixed spec. I had hard time getting to terms with it, as it seemed counter productive when drawing analogies from the evolutionary processes. This time I had a glimmer of understanding, seeing it as a lockstep progress, that wards off the usual EEE kind of practice from the outside, and still leaves the road for occasional moves to protocols sharing the original ethos.
@yeti@adele@badtuple you can use pandoc to do some nice things. I use it to create html files with embedded pictures and the pandoc lua filter for some rewriting
@badtuple I believe gemini development is particularly active (again) right now. The gopher is the gopher. Of course I (of the #lispygopher#climate) think that trying to cook in a textual markdown and cryptographic advice to the protocol was bound to be ephemeral...
@screwtape huh, thanks for the insight! I looked and it seemed like the spec, and some prominent tooling + blogs had been abandoned. But it would make sense that I'm simply not looking in the right place.
